Summary :

Kamadora (2023) This film tells the story of Ica working as a saleswoman in a department store. With her charm and **x appeal, she gets the attention of her boss. But unknown to everyone, a dark persona lies beneath her pretty face.

“Hindi po totoo ‘yan,” he says at the “Kamadora” presscon. “Pareho lang po ako ng ibang mga nagdidirek sa Viva. Hindi po nila ako basta pinapaboran.”

Direk Roman has really come a long way from the time he was directing children’s shows like “Team Yey” (that ran for several seasons) and soaps on TV. He admits that he earns more from directing for television than in doing films for streaming.

“But mas enjoy po talaga ako gumawa ng full length films,” he says. “Sa TV, may showrunners at sila ang nasusunod. As a film director, I call the shots and I get to do the materials that I want to do.”

His latest work, “Kamadora”, is once again full of his trademark **x and violence scenes. The first thing you’ll notice about it is its quirky structure that makes the story quite unpredictable.

Title : Tayuan

Director : Topel Lee

Writer : Michelle Ngu

Stars : Angeli Khang, Stephanie Raz, Chester Grecia

Ella meets Rico, a bus conductor, on her way to work. Even after finding out that Rico is married, she still pursues him. As their affair turns to adoration, it becomes harder for them to let go.

Film Review Tayuan (2023) - The film Tayuan is known to be released on June 23, 2023. Tayuan is directed by Topel Lee and written by Michelle Ngu.

This Tayuan film will star talented talents with extraordinary acting, namely Angeli Khang, Stephanie Raz and Chester Grecia.

Guys, there is an exciting film to watch, it's called "Tayuan". The story is about Ella who meets Rico, the bus conductor, while on his way to work. Well, the problem is that Rico is already married, but Ella is still chasing after him. Indeed, love stories are not always straight, sometimes complicated and make the heart confused.

This film presents the forbidden relationship between Ella and Rico. Ella knows Rico already has a partner, but she still can't resist chasing Rico. Love can't be underestimated, it makes people forget everything and want to take any risks.

Over time, their relationship became more complicated. Ella and Rico cannot be separated, their adoration is growing, but on the other hand, they also have to face moral consequences and questions. Make the audience feel confused and think, "Is this love wrong or just a temporary feeling?"

What's interesting about this film is the complex characters. We can see their weakness and resilience in facing difficult situations. Not only Ella and Rico, but also Rico's partner and Ella's friendship are affected. All of the characters have strong inner conflicts, and that makes the story even more interesting.

Although the story is about an illicit relationship, this film also presents deep moral questions. Makes us think what should be done in a situation like this. Can love justify actions that violate norms and ethics?

The romantic scenes in this film can also make our hearts melt. The acting of the players is also not less good. We can feel that we are participating in their complicated love journey and being carried away by the emotions they feel. Trust me, there are scenes that make us feel how hard it is for them to let go of one another.

But yes, we also have to remember that forbidden relationships are not always beautiful. There are consequences and they can hurt a lot of people. This film can be a reminder for us, that love doesn't always mean that it has to be fought for if it violates other people's values and happiness.

Anyway, if you like complicated love stories full of moral questions, "Tayuan" is the right choice. This film can make us reflect on the meaning of true love, emotional strength, and the consequences of actions taken in inappropriate love. So, get ready to be swept away in a love story that makes your heart flutter, but also makes your heart flutter!

Vivamax : Review of SANDWICH | Director Jao Daniel Elamparo

Vivamax : Review of SANDWICH | Jao Daniel Elamparo

Title : Sandwich 2023

Stars : Katrina Dovey, Andrea Garcia, Nico Locco, Luke Selby

Directed : Jao Daniel Elamparo

A newly wed couple invites a woman for threesome. Unknown to them someone is watching their sexcapade. When the threesome becomes foursome, that’s when chaos begins.

Expat Edward (Luke Selby) and nurse Ria (Kat Dovey) have been married for three years. Edward already has a son Pippa (Lucas Matthey Francia) whom he left with his parents (Lee O'Brian and Kathy Mulville) in England. Edward and Ria are very active with their sex life, but they don't have children of their own yet. To add spice, they contact a girl Candice (Andrea Garcia) from the internet for a threesome experience.

In a neighboring condo, there lives a drug dealer Andrew (Nico Locco) who runs an illegal business with his friends (Sahil Khan and Michael Olusegon). This Andrew is a sex pervert who uses binoculars and a telescope to look into condo windows and spy on people engaging in sexual activity. When he peeps on Edward and Ria several times, Andrew becomes obsessed with Ria, and finds a way to relate to her.

This film was supposed to be made the day before the COVID-19 lockdown on March 17 2023. Even so, Edward and Ria still called the maid (Nina Castinlag) to clean the condo, hired a handyman (Chadd Solano) to fix the AC, and entertained guests including Edward's family and aunt. Ria (Regin Tolentino). No one wore masks at all, nor did they wear bunny outfits at Ria's hospital, unlike what actually happened those days.

As the story progresses, one wonders why writer Reynold Giba made a pandemic the setting for the film. In fact, after their guests leave, Edward and Ria have enough time to engage with the threesome, first with Candice, and then with Andrew, a total stranger to those who happen to be in their elevator. This story could have happened at any time. The pandemic is never very important to the plot literally, or even symbolically.

To fill the airtime between sex scenes, much time is spent on TV interviewees, such as a priest (Rene Durian) on the spiritual aspects of the pandemic, and a psychiatrist (Apollo Abraham) discussing the six differences. kind of relationship. I suspect many viewers will just fast-forward through long didactic scenes of random topics only tangentially related to the plot.

Kat Dovey and Luke Selby did quite well in their dramatic roles, much better than their previous appearances on Vivamax. Auteur Brillante Mendoza continues his recent trend of supervising new director projects. Jao Elamparo's direction is commendable on the technical side regarding DP Freidric Macapagal Cortez's camera work and Jake Abella's score. However, in telling the story, Elemparo's meaning is not clear, topics of conversation appear from nowhere and lead nowhere .

DOMME | Vivamax: Roman Perez Jr.

Title : Domme (2023)

Stars : Ava MendezAli AsistioMark Anthony Fernandez

Director : Roman Perez Jr.

Writers : John Carlo Pacala, Vicente Paolo Fernandez, Roman Perez Jr.

Synopsis  : A man spies on his neighbors because of the noises they create every night. But he discovers that they do wild erotic practices. As he interferes with their business, the more he gets involved in their lives and their mess.

Cholo (Ali Asistio) has just moved to Manila to escape his overbearing mother. He works from his condo as a call center agent. However, he was greatly disturbed by the sound of someone grunting in agony coming from the room beside him. His neighbor is Raymond (Mark Anthony Fernandez), the head chef of a fine restaurant that serves exotic dishes. At work, he is a strict boss of his staff, a perfectionist in his craft.

Raymond's frequent visitor is a mysterious woman named Estelle (Ava Mendez). Upon further investigation, Cholo learns that Estelle is a dominatrix who provides sexual arousal to her masochistic clients through pain and humiliation. Tony (Marco Gomez) is Raymond's nephew. As his accountant, Tony noted that his uncle regularly transferred thousands of pesos to a single account, belonging to Estelle.

Ava Mendez has shown her acting talent in several Vivamax events before, beating out lead actresses in movies like "#DoYouThinkIAmSexy?" and "Larran". She's not as consistent here as Estelle. He's still good in his quiet scenes, but there are scenes that just seem odd or unnatural, like the one where he bangs on Cholo's door for the first time, or the spitting scene with Tony near the end.

Ali Asistio dropped his usual over-the-top acting style to play the nerdy Cholo, and it's a promising change of pace for him. Tony Marco Gomez is a practically unnecessary side character whose gambling debts we don't really care about. Hammy Mark Anthony Fernandez, the over-the-top line delivery is disastrous and amateurish for a veteran actor like him, simply lacks the class needed for his character - his worst performance ever.

Mr. Renato "Toto" Camaya (Carlo Aquino) was a history teacher in a high school in Pampanga. He was very serious with his job, but he only took home a measly salary of P7,500 per pay day, which he still dutifully turned over to his mother (Marnie Lapus). He was already turning 30 and still very much single, so his virginity was a topic of curiosity among his students, led by resident bully Gopez (Francis Magundayao).

One day, Toto wandered into Area, a notorious place frequented by men who wanted a quick romp in the hay. The moment he laid eyes on Candy (Julia Barretto), the most expensive girl there at P700 a session, Toto was so smitten by her allure that he just had to have her even if he only had P500 in his pocket. After that first encounter with her, Toto was obsessed to be with her, even if he had to resort to demeaning or unethical sidelines to afford her fees.
