Mr. Renato "Toto" Camaya (Carlo Aquino) was a history teacher in a high school in Pampanga. Class of 2018 is a 2018 Filipino teen suspense–thriller film directed by Charliebebs Gohetia. It stars Sharlene San Pedro and Nash Aguas. The film was produced and distributed by T-Rex Entertainment. It premiered in the Philippines on November 7, 2018. 

T-Rex Entertainment, an independent Filipino production company which started in late 2015, began producing Class of 2018 during the first half of 2018. The project was headed by its executive producer Rex Tiri, who had produced films such as dark comedy Patay na si Hesus in 2016 and comedy-drama musical Deadma Walking in 2017.

Del Pilar National High School hosts a class full of rejects. Section Zamora, the name of the 12th grade class, goes on a field trip to Mt. Bantayog for an earth science project. During their excursion, one of them contracts a mysterious virus. Due to its disturbing symptoms, the whole section is quarantined by the military in an abandoned facility. They are soon forced to fight for survival as the unknown virus spreads. Anyone who is infected develops intense aggressiveness and a thirst for violence. Main characters Ada (Sharlene San Pedro), RJ (Nash Aguas), Princess (Kristel Fulgar), and Migs (CJ Navato) fight for survival as they deal with the dangers of the virus and politics among untrustworthy classmates.

"Class Of 2018" follows the students of Section Zamora, the section where Del Pilar National High School’s young misfits, losers, and delinquents usually end up in. Everyone knows that anyone in Section Z has no chance of a good future. When Section Z goes on a field trip to Mt. Bantayog for an Earth Science project, one of them contracts a mysterious virus. The infected student quickly develops disturbing symptoms, eventually driving him to attack the rest of his classmates. Out of nowhere, the military swoops in and quarantines the class in an abandoned facility somewhere deep in the forest to control the spreading of the virus. While inside the quarantine zone, everyone in Section Z is forced to fight for survival. Their issues with each other arise as quickly as the spreading of the mysterious virus, which heightens the infected’s aggression and thirst for violence. Believing that a proper future is waiting for them outside, the surviving students gear up to fight their infected classmates, who have transformed into mindless violent monsters. With the additional threat of the military who quarantined them for suspicious reasons, will the students make it out alive?

"Class Of 2018" doesn't really work as a horror film. It's more of a scifi thriller infused with some comedy. Imagine "The Maze Runner" meets "Battle Royale" with a Pinoy flavor. Its premise may not be new to us since we have seen many stories about experiments gone wrong in movies, but the script from Charliebebs Gohetia and Jericho Aguado manages to be interesting enough as they stuffed it with many twists and turns. Gohetia, who recently directed the Cinema One Originals comedy film "Bagyong Bheverlynn", infused the story with effective humor that creates a perfect balance between violence and laughs. The production values were okay, plus it has some nice visuals (despite some rough CGI), particularly the playful cinematography.

But the biggest aspect as to why the film works is because of its cast. It was so nostalgic to watch Sharlene San Pedro and Nash Aguas together since I have witnessed these two grow up from those cute little child actors back then to the teens that they are now. Their acting prowess were on full display of the film. NashLene fans will also get their money's worth because of their sweet little moments together. Kiray Celis was so fun to watch as your typical mean girl/ queen bee. I don't know why Michelle Vito keeps on getting typecast as the dumb rich or mean girl in movies ("irregardless?") but to her credit, she does the job really, really good. CJ Navato was okay as the nerd of the group, though he didn't really have anything to do except to make theories about what's going around them. Ethan Salvador and Jomari Angeles (both from the film "2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten") did a great job with their roles as Nash Aguas' buddies. Lara Fortuna was a revelation as the ass-kicking fighter in the group. But it was Kristel Fulgar who stole the spotlight as the mean girl turned good girl of the class. Her character was the most interesting one among the class. Kristel's performance was probably the best in the film. Her funny and quirky portrayal added to the enjoyment of watching the film.

Of course, the film isn't that perfect. It has several plotholes, some really bad characters who always choose making stupid decisions (like risking your life and another person's for a necklace?), and those weird visions of the characters' future whenever they die. The scares also don't work that much. I also sensed that some of the characters don't feel any danger at all.

Despite its flaws, "Class Of 2018" is a pretty engaging and amusing teensploitation. And aside from its entertainment value, it's also a morality play on today's society and a critique on this generation's youth, in the guise of a teen horror thriller with lots of comedy. It has its moments of fun and thrills, and loads of fan service. It's the type of film best enjoyed with friends as it promises viewers a really good time at the cinema.

'I Love You, Hater' is still a creature of formula but its charm makes it hard to hate 

There is one scene in Giselle Andres’ I Love You, Hater that makes the film almost worth all of its very many problems.

Noteworthy for several reasons

Zoey (Julia Barretto), clearly ecstatic, is in front of Joko (Joshua Garcia), her rival of several weeks for the position of assistant to media magnate Sasha (Kris Aquino).

She tells Joko of a sacrifice (which involved her lying to Sasha) and it weirdly does not result in the loving gratitude that she might have expected. Joko, dumbfounded because he knows how Zoey values honesty, begs her to tell him why she did it.

Out of perhaps the whole absurdity and foolishness of her feelings, Zoey starts to cry and confesses of her love for him despite knowing that he will never love her back because he is gay.

However, Joko is not gay.

He has been pretending to be gay just to have a stab at the lucrative job under Sasha. He also loves Zoey, and admits it, along with the fact that his being gay is all a ruse. Zoey doesn’t take it lightly, and her tears of self-pity quickly turn into tears of rage because of the betrayal of someone she has gotten to love to the point of embarrassing herself.

The scene is noteworthy for several reasons.

The scene allows Barretto, who has proven herself in previous films as a very fine actress, an opportunity to churn out a nuanced performance, one that is understanding of the subtle differences of various emotions conveyed by the act of crying.

Barretto’s performance however wouldn’t have been possible if the narrative, which is unabashedly convoluted right from the get go, didn’t unspool so relentlessly to reach such an emotionally affecting and surprisingly authentic confrontation between the two stunted lovers. 

At least at that point of the movie, it works.

It almost seemed that its roundabout way of tackling the value of truth within the realm of relationships, profession, and even sexuality makes complete sense. It almost seemed that some of its brushes with insensitivity when it comes to portraying gays or their manners of coming out had some more reason to them than an attempt at amplifying either drama or comedy, which the film commits to quite feverously. The film is funny when it needs to be. It shifts to romance or drama with ease and mechanicality.

In fact, it almost seemed that the film was making a real statement and not just some palatable moralism that has always been tied to these commercial love stories.

There certainly are surprising loose ends that provoke. Sideplots, like the ones involving Zoey’s estranged father or Sasha’s ex-husband, are never granted the resolutions expected from rom-coms that ambition happy endings for everyone.

This can be interpreted to point to a more progressive direction for the genre considering that the repercussions of the loose ends are to portray women realizing their worth despite the neglect of the men in their lives.

I Love You, Hater is still a creature of formula.

It avoids cutting deeper than it should. It dwells on easily recognizable dilemmas and all the loud feelings that come with them. This isn’t bad at all, but its being simplistic does lead to several problems, most especially if its conceit is grounded on issues that require a little bit more sensitivity. 

Oozing with charm

With all its problems, I Love You, Hater is a film that is hard to love.

Thankfully, it is also oozing with charm, making it a film that is harder to hate.

Bloody Crayons is a 2017 Philippine suspense thriller film based on the book of the same name by Wattpad writer Josh Argonza. Directed by Topel Lee, the film features an ensemble cast including Janella Salvador, Jane Oineza, Maris Racal, Ronnie Alonte, Sofia Andres, Diego Loyzaga, Yves Flores, Empoy Marquez, and Elmo Magalona.

Development began in April 2015 when Star Cinema picked up the film rights of the book, originally billed by Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia and Manolo Pedrosa. It was announced to be released in 2016 but undergone numerous recasting as well as the departure of the film's initial director Quark Henares,and production was pushed back beyond the said release date. A final cast was teased on the social media site Twitter late December 2016 but a change was again made early February 2017 replacing Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia, with Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona. Production has pushed through and was released on July 12, 2017. 

A group of friends goes to an island for a short film project when they are attacked by a mysterious killer after playing a game of bloody crayons.

Nine graduating students head to an island across the sea to finish their final project at school. They include Eunice, a timid and soft-spoken young woman; Olivia, Eunice's best friend; Kenly, Olivia's boyfriend with whom she is in a cool-off mode; Justin, Kenly's best friend who is exuberant and outspoken;Party-girl and very girly Richalaine; Marie, whose attributes are prim and classy; Gerard, the class clown also the eldest of the group; Kiko, who is the photographer and has admiration for Eunice; and John, a newcomer student who also harbors romantic feelings for Eunice. They all head out to Olivia's parents' summer home in an island to shoot a short film. On the island they meet Mang Pedring, a caretaker who instantly causes the group to feel uneasy. Olivia notices Kenly's cold nature towards her, causing her to think he has found someone new. She discovers that Kenly has been dating Marie all along, much to her dismay. To top it all off, Eunice has known the entire time and chose to remain oblivious, thinking she is protecting her friend. A fight ensues on both parties. 

The next morning, when their shooting commences, Olivia approaches her friends as if nothing happened. Soon, a storm starts, prompting the group to stop shooting. That night, the friends decide to play a game of "Bloody Crayons," a form of "truth or dare?" with a twist. Everyone is instructed to form a circle around a box that has four sets of five crayons—black, white, pink, blue and red. Each color represents a consequence, and each player will draw one crayon at a time. Black represents a rule to be given by the drawer. This rule is to be followed during the course of the game until the next black crayon is drawn. Failure to follow the rule means the drawer will vandalize the face of the violator. White represents immunity of the drawer from the rule until the next white crayon is drawn. Pink crayons represent friendship and whoever draws a pink crayon will choose a friend and have them make the drawer perform a dare. Blue crayons represent honesty. The drawer will confess something they have not done. If the other friends have done the confession, they have to vandalize their own faces. The drawer can also write on the face of someone they know has done the confession. Lastly, red is considered the bloody crayon, the most exciting piece in the game. The three people to draw the first three red crayons will be given the chance to each put a substance of their choosing in a cup and the last person to draw the red crayon will unfortunately drink the mixture. The game is over when the last red crayon is drawn.

Life throws us so many curveballs that sometimes, we are left reeling. Even then, we need to take a step back to reassess. It is not any different in the Movie Triptiko (2017). Directed by Mico Michelena, Triptiko is a trilogy of unrelated short films featuring outlandish stories that leave the audience squirming in their seats.

“Swerte,” the first story, features Albie Casiño as Jake. After getting lucky one night, Jake experiences a series of bad luck. Casiño’s character had very little time for development, leaving the audience frustrated in trying to understand his reactions throughout the film.

“Hinog,” the film’s second story, stars Joseph Marco as Jason, a male model plagued by the growth of mysterious boils. The sudden illness prompts him to seek help through unorthodox methods.

Marco’s portrayal of Jason, who is pompous and selfish throughout the film, can be described as awkward at worst and respectable at best. Jason’s expressions were not genuinely embodied by Marco, which made his character execution fall flat.

If “Swerte” focused on possible real-life experiences, and “Hinog” on Filipino mythology, “Musikerong John,” the third and last story, is undoubtedly the most bizarre of them all. Nevertheless, the story can be described as lyrical and even poetic, especially with the choice of folk music as main soundtrack.

Kean Cipriano stars as John, while Kylie Padilla plays Ann, John’s significant other. Their acting in “Musikerong John” is commendable. The lines and expressions seemed to have come naturally to Cipriano. Despite her lack of speaking lines, Padilla portrayed Ann’s instability with superb and genuine acting.

Some of Triptiko’s scenes seemed dragging, with majority of the shots having dark lighting. Though it did add an ominous feel in some shots, the shadows were mostly placed in awkward spots that made it hard for the audience to see the actors’ faces and expressions.

Overall, Triptiko is a thriller that keeps viewers on edge, delving into the realms of the physical, mythological, and even the impossible. 

Minsan ang buhay, medyo weird (Sometimes, life is weird) says the tagline of Miguel Franco Michelena's anthology Triptiko (2017). According to writer and director Michelena, the Movie is a Filipino pop culture version of triptych, which is a set of three associated artistic, literary, or musical pieces intended to be appreciated together.” In this movie, he assembles three separate stories with different genres to form a one of a kind anthology. Being a fan of anthology movies, I was definitely excited to see this one. The first story of the film follows a young man (Albie Casino) who thinks he just got "lucky" suddenly experiences one unfortunate circumstance after another. Next is a male model (Joseph Marco) on the rise is plagued by a mysterious ailment that turns his career upside down. And a love-struck folk singer (Kean Cipriano) discovers that the object of his affection (Kylie Padilla) is not who he thinks she is. The film is produced by Michelena Brothers Production in association with Barrio's Pictures and features an ensemble cast, led by Albie Casiño, Jerald Napoles, Joseph Marco, Art Acuña, Kylie Padilla, Kean Cipriano, Max Eigenmann, Jay Gonzaga and Pinky Amador. It has been Graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board and is an official entry to the 2017 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.

The first segment entitled "Suwerte" stars Albie Casino as Jake, a young man who thought that he just got lucky with a girl he had a one-night stand with. But after witnessing a murder happening right before his eyes, he becomes the target of the murderer. The story attempts to redefine our perspective of luck. For me, this segment maybe the most bad-ass story among the three. More akin to a chase movie, it mixes shock and thrills while we follow the plight of Jake as he falls into one bad luck to another. To his credit, Albie Casino did a pretty decent job as the main character. He was believable as a young man in peril and was able to portray the role convincingly. Jerald Napoles was really fun to watch and did a great job in his role.

In "Hinog", the second segment of the film, we are introduced to Jason (played by Joseph Marco). He's an up-and-rising product endorser and ramp male model. But the problem is that his body is being plagued by boils that eventually affects his career. Determined to be cured of his ailment, he ends up consulting a shaman to help him find out the true nature of his sickness. This segment seems like an attempt of the body horror genre (horror fiction in which the horror is principally derived from the graphic degeneration or destruction of the physical body. Such works may deal with decay, disease, parasitism, mutation or mutilation) in the tradition of  David Cronenberg and Brian Yuzna. And to be honest, this was my most favorite segment in this anthology.

Joseph Marco was really good in his portrayal of the sick Jason. One can really see and feel his character's desperation through his acting. Art Acuña was also fun to watch as the trippy shaman from whom Jason asks for help regarding his ailment. Aside from these characters, what made me enjoy this segment even more was the unrelenting portrayal of the ailment, from the unapologetic close-up shots of the infection that will make you puke. These gross-out moments came in fast and unexpected and really caught me off-guard. To be honest, this is the first time I felt like I was about to throw up while watching a movie. I was biting my hand the whole time while watching Jason and the shamando their own extraction. This is the probably the most disgusting and repelling story I've seen in a local film, yet I enjoyed it so much that I am so attracted to it. Plus, the ironic ending was the perfect way to conclude the segment, though I kinda felt bad for one of the characters. To me, this segment was the most memorable one.

The third and final segment was a bit different from the first two segments. This story, entitled "Musikerong John" is about John (played by Kean Cipriano) a folk song musician as he relives the memories of his last relationship. The girl, named Ann (played by Kylie Padilla) was the girl of his dreams. The one that he thought he would be spending his whole life with. But then, one day, she starts acting weirdly. Little did he know that she was already turning into something he'd never imagined. I loved all the songs that Kean Cipriano performed in this segment (they were written by Ralph Lorenzo Tan under the pseudonym "I"). He also did a good job in his portrayal of the heartbroken musician. He shares great chemistry with his co-star, Kylie Padilla who also surprised me with her outstanding performance. Of all the three stories, this segment probably has better storytelling and editing. The story shifts from the present back to the past smoothly. The pacing started to slow down in this segment for us to focus on the tension brought by these changes to the relationship of the two characters.

As a whole, Triptiko works because each segment offers a unique emotional experience to the viewers as we jump from one story to another. It's like our very own local version of 

 George A. Romero and Stephen King's Creepshow (1982). Each of the stories, weird and trippy. I actually loved how they open each segment with a quote that is related to the story. The film boasts a well-written screenplay, mixed with some great acting and direction. Though there were a lot of moments that were a too darkly lit which was a bit hard to watch. The film looked good during it's outdoor scenes, but a lot of the indoor moments were very dim and I had a hard time adjusting my eyes to see the character's expressions. Despite that, I enjoyed this movie a lot more than what I have expected. It maybe too extreme for some of the average moviegoers and a lot of people might be repelled by it's content but it's actually a great movie once you get past that.

Triptiko is an out of this world movie experience. It's a psychedelic mind trip: it's mad, freaky, and totally messed up. I've never seen quite anything like it in local cinema for the past years. For me, this movie is already running as one of the best Filipino films of the year 2017.

Antoinette Jadaone's Love You to the Stars and Back relies on a very difficult proposition – that two complete strangers who serendipitously meet each other under embarrassing circumstances can become lovers just after a short period of time.

Giant leap of faith

In Tadhana's case, Anthony (JM de Guzman) offers to help distraught Mace (Angelica Panganiban) in a foreign airport. Their chance meeting will lead to an impromptu road trip to Sagada, where both of them heal each other's heartaches while quickly falling in love. In Love You to the Stars and Back, Mika (Julia Barretto) offers to bring Caloy (Joshua Garcia) to the hospital after she drives over his foot when they accidentally see each other answering nature's call.

Jadaone begs her audience for a giant leap of faith to believe that love, and not just any kind of love but the transformative and curative kind, can spring from these very random and chance encounters.

Rather than relying on the idea that the very brisk romances she conceives of are nothing but escapist fare which might be the most convenient excuse her films' too-easy premises, Jadaone peppers her films with realistic scenes of extended conversations – mostly humorous, sometimes about topics that have nothing to do with the plot, but always with the goal of enriching the chemistry and making the audience believe that quite possibly, the two strangers whose awkward initial encounters they have come to witness might really be soul mates.

In Love You to the Stars and Back’s case, Jadaone maximizes her leads’ youth and verve, having them engage in swift arguments and debates that rapidly erupt into a romance that, while at first might seem too sudden, proves to be very affecting.

Garcia, who proved to be a very capable leading man in Theodore Boborol’s Vince & Kath & James (2016), continues to be that astute actor who can add satisfying layers to his performance by gestures and line deliveries that are prompted by a mix of his intuition and a profound understanding of his character’s motivations. He can add levity to even the most dramatic of scenes, and add heft to the lightest of moments. Barretto is just as delightful here.

Gari (Lovi Poe) was a stylish fashionista who worked as a pre-school teacher, with online sales businesses on the side. Sherwin (Joem Bascon) was a poor student training to be an auto mechanic, working as a waiter on the side. They first encountered each other in a private party where Gari was a guest and Sherwin was a waiter, and they shared the stage together for an impromptu song number. 

Fast forward to one day when Gari's car stalled, and Sherwin just so happened to be right there to fix her battery problem. Fast forward again to one day when Gari was eating fishballs in a sari-sari store in Sherwin's neighborhood. Fast forward again to the day when Sherwin boldly proposed to be Gari's boyfriend with the help of their friends. Then fast forward again to the fateful wedding day when Gari became Mrs. Sherwin Gallardo.

With this initial sequence of episodic scenes, we can already feel that this was not going to be a movie of substance. The story of how two people of vastly different, totally contrasting social standing, educational attainment, bank accounts, English-speaking skills, fashion sense and physical appearance getting together to get married could already be a full-length movie in itself. Yet here, the director simply stitched these contrived scenes together and just expected us to accept that incredible fantasies like this could really happen just like that.

The director should have taken the effort to convince us that an ambitious rich girl like Gari can drop everything and accept the marriage proposal of someone like Sherwin who did not seem to have any future in his horizon. The strength of the foundation upon which their marriage was built was essential to create the tense dramatic situations which the title alone already told us was going to happen to them. In this case, their relationship was shallow and frivolous, there was not an iota of doubt that this marriage was doomed from Day 1. 

While married, Gari was working on both her teaching job and her online stores to earn all the money to sustain their daily needs. Sherwin quit from his job at the car repair shop to find a better job but he could not because it turned out he never even graduated from his vocational school after all this time. So one night, this great husband got himself drunk at a party and allowed himself to be seduced into bed by a cheap-looking hussy named Samantha (Myrtle Sarrosa).

Now who has not seen these scenarios in a Filipino movie before? This was absolutely lazy writing as no effort was spent it seems in coming up with a more original conflict between the wife and husband. We already saw all of these problems happening ever since they stepped out of the church during their wedding. Everything was so ho-hum predictable, no surprises at all to spark interest.

Then we fast forward to familiar scenes of secret phone calls and mall meet-ups, again no imagination at all. All of this set up to that day where Sherwin and Sam were going at each other right in the Gallardo living room, and Gari walked in on them. This major confrontation scene is a staple in all Filipino about infidelity. Yet with all those multiple crisp-sounding face-slapping, this was the most entertaining scene in the whole film. Too bad the director had to ruin the fun by slipping in a miscarriage. 

The whole meat of the film was supposed to be about the annulment proceedings. Yet the film also did not delve on the details of its taxing procedure. There was only one court scene, where the Gari's lawyer friend flaunted her English enunciation prowess. After that, there was again another easy way out where one party simply acquiesced to the demands of the other. You'd think there would be more weight and time given to the legal workings during an annulment case, but here we see yet another abbreviated process just like we have seen in other Filipino dramas about couples parting ways. 

The beauty, class and talent of Lovi Poe was wasted in a cheesy, banal and inept film like this. She (and also Ana Abad Santos as Gari's mother) was the only positive aspect in this film.

The story begins two years after the break up between Pia (Angelica Panganiban) and Nix Cabangon (Carlo Aquino) and they were invited in the party made by the married couple Reyna (Dionne Monsanto) and Tops. It shows some flashbacks where Pia and Reyna gazed on Nix at the bar which leads Pia to begin their romantic relationship with Nix after they both explained their main problems about their exes and Nix's hospitality to her. As soon as Pia sees Migs (Joem Bascon) and his family at All Home, Nix became jealous to her which leads them to have a fall out with each other at their home and is often mentioned about Nix's ex-girlfriend Dwein (Coleen Garcia). Nix soon apologizes to Pia for his rash behavior and not to mentioned about his ex. As Dwein showed up with Tops for the furnitures she wanted for Nix, this causes Pia to get jealous, realizing that Nix still have feelings for her and she was the main reason why Pia had broke up with Nix and left him at his home without stopping her.

Back at the present day, the two reintroduced themselves after their break up despite their actions between them until Tops' announcement to have a second baby (calling Reyna as his 1st baby) with Reyna as the band plays the song that Nix sang for Pia in their previous relationship. When both Pia and Nix almost kissed, it was revealed that Pia had already have a boyfriend named Anton who called her back home which makes Pia to leave the party. As Pia gets inside the car to get home, Nix showed up to say goodbye to her while calling her car as Ogie (which Pia names it in the beginning of the film). Pia finally refuses to call back on Anton from her phone and decides to reconcile with Nix.

The film begins with Christine "Tin" Lazaro (Liza Soberano), a University of the Philippines Art Studies major and a part-time museum guide, touring high school students in The Philippine National Museum. They first find themselves in a little clash debating the comparison of the museum's famous painting, and Raf's favorite song Spoliarium. First at odds, they soon begin dating and eventually entered a romantic relationship. Raf wants to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor while Tin aspires to be a museum director once they graduate from college, she also dreams to visit The MET and other museums in New York. They started a sweet and adorable relationship but they soon find themselves falling apart when Tin graduates from college. At Tin's first job in a non-government organization, she was accused of allowing her boss, Janice to steal their company's funds. However, she was saved by Gregory "Greg" Fausto (Luis Alandy), a coworker who likes her and believes that she is innocent. Owing to the heated and extremely stressful situation she is currently in, she breaks up with Raf much to her chagrin, when she learns that Raf was not able to graduate again on time, and is still stuck at preparatory medicine school. Raf initially proposes to Tin, to avoid losing her, but Tin refuses the proposal and leaves Raf for good.

Five years later, Tin is now in a relationship with Greg. She accompanies her boyfriend at the PICC for an awarding ceremony. There, she also sees Raf who is now a professional doctor, also receiving an award. Raf see Tin from afar and he meets her at the hallway of the complex and invites her to see each other sometime. As the two meet again at the same place where the two started their past relationship, Tin finally tells him that she broke up with him because of her problems at the company she previously worked in. After much realization, Raf receives a call from the hospital, needing his immediate presence to treat patients there. Tin accompanied him and there sees Raf working diligently and passionately at the hospital, taking notice of his personality change and that Raf is currently living his dream of being a doctor. While in there, Raf introduces Tin to Aly (Jasmine Curtis-Smith), a fellow doctor and his current girlfriend.

Tin is currently working for Greg's company and is well loved by her subordinates. She performs her job very diligently, but still does not feel the respect and recognition she believed she deserves. She is shut by Greg, by not trusting her professional decisions and somehow forced to let a client criticize her working habits, despite having acceptable reasons. In one of their projects, Tin was sent to New York to present to a client. Tin pleads to Greg that she stay a bit longer to enjoy the city, Greg initially refuses, but allows her to go later on. Unbeknownst to Tin, Raf purchased a ticket flight to New York to join her. Both of them meet once again in New York to fulfill their dreams to visit The MET and other museums. With so much happiness in spending her days in New York with Raf, Tin also mustered the courage and realized that it may not be too late for her to start a career in the field she wholeheartedly desires, she get copies of application forms as souvenirs and as well as reminder that it may not really be too late for her after all. While fulfilling their dreams to see New York, Raf reveals that he broke up with Aly and wanted to marry Tin, she sadly rejects his engagement, stating that she would hurt Greg and his daughter Aisha (Xia Vigor) if she marries him which leads them to argue and to Raf's rejection. Upon returning to the Philippines, Tin discovers Raf reconnected with Aly and reveals that she was pregnant with Raf's child. Tin tries to move on and engages Greg in an enthusiastic conversation about her journey to the New York Museums, but Greg show little to no interest. She later expressed her thoughts about going back to the field she once worked for. They later clash in an argument when Greg forces her to be practical, and reminds her of her past mistakes she made in her previous job, stating that no one will accept her because of it. Greg further states that she is not working well enough. Greg entertains Tin's desire half-halfheartedly and tried to seek assistance from his connections to have Tin easily land a job in a museum, again not trusting Tin's capabilities as an individual professional. Hurt and now enlightened by the fact that Greg will never trust her life decisions, and that he sees her more as an employee more than his girlfriend, breaks up with him and decides to resign her post at the company. Tin then visits at the hospital to see Raf to apologize but fails to convince him, resulting in her visit with her mother Hilda (Sylvia Sanchez) for comfort after being rejected. After talking and getting advice from her former college professor, Alwyn (Nonie Buencamino), Tin finally left her current industry to start a new life working for the art industry. At first, her past mistakes continued to hinder her applications being accepted, but she eventually found a job when a museum head told her that everyone can learn from their mistakes and change for the better. Tin begins a new job at the museum to chase her dream to become a museum director. She later visits Raf at the hospital and finally apologizes to him for being a coward and selfish while he too also apologizes to her for his rash behavior and being confused. He also reveals that his relationship with Aly did not work out as Tin shows her love to him as Raf happily leaves to get back on duty.

Back at the National Museum, she watches the award ceremony for the Filipino artists. After the awards ceremony, she is visited again by Raf and finally reconciles their relationship. The film ends with Tin and Raf looking at Juan Luna's Spoliarium while he carries his son from Aly during their visit to the National Museum.
